Manor Lords is an highly anticipated up and coming medieval strategy game. Manor Lords is a medieval inspired RTS with a focus on large scale battles, city building, in game economy, and much more! Inspired by the later 14th century Franconia the game aims to provide a historically accurate immersive experience. Build, fight, and conquer your way to become a Lord of the Manor.
Release Date
It was announced that Manor Lords is set to release into early access on April 26, 2024. The game will be available on PC through Steam and Xbox Game Pass at launch. Xbox One and Series X|S releasing at a future date.
The game had a previous release date of sometime in 2023 but delayed that release stating “the game needs more bugfix and polish.” This did not hinder any momentum or anticipation for the game in any way and Manor Lords has quickly found itself as one of the most wishlisted games on Steam at over 2 million. Trailers and Gameplay
The game was announced years ago with the official announcement trailer coming out sometime 2021. Watching the trailers we notice the breathtaking mountain views, green and brown brush, and forests. There are noticeable workers in the world such as farmers, hunters, and builders in the cities. Everything can look so peaceful for a moment… Then you are attacked.
Combat
Large Scale Battles:
The trailers reveal the immersive RTS combat system that the community is excited for. There are realistic medieval battles going on and multiple troops you are able to command. Solo Developer
One topic of conversation around Manor Lords is the fact that the game is being made by a solo developer. Greg Styczeń of Slavic Magic is the solo developer behind Manor Lords. Solo developers are not uncommon in the gaming space but for a game with as much hype behind it as this one it is very interesting to see. It is not uncommon for solo developers to use outside help for projects and it is said that Slavic Magic has done this for the audio and other functions of the game. A truly fantastic and inspiring story for other solo game developers.
