Discord Coming to PS5
In the coming months if not days a massive PlayStation 5 update will be getting pushed which is rumored to have full Discord integration. Discord is considered the most popular social hub for gamers and has been a highly requested feature for the PlayStation 5. Reports back in October 2022 hinted that this was coming but with new information coming out Beta testing will begin as soon as next week!
Insider Gaming was the first gaming news outlet to break the story about the Discord integration in a article posted on January 12th. This PlayStation 5 update (7.00) is also rumored to include cloud gaming, which would allow gamers to free up hard drive space and play their favorite games online. This feature will be added with the inclusion of a new PlayStation Plus Premium tier.
It is reported that the beta testing, if not already underway, will begin in the starting days and will continue until January 30th. Some gaming news outlets are rumoring the release date wont be until Marth 8th, 2023 with the other features included in Update 7.00.
