Earlier this week Endnight Games released Sons of the Forest and causes Steam pages to go down.
After much anticipation Sons of the Forest finally releases on Steam. However just shortly after the game goes live the store page goes down. The launch of Sons of the Forest crashes the steam page. Too many people were excited to play the sequel of The Forest and the steam servers could not keep up. Luckily the rest of steam was unaffected and the store page was back up rather quickly. Still it is very rare to see a steam page go down like that.

The Steam store page being down was not the only problem Sons of the Forest faced on launch day. Eager gamers were also met with delays with the download being ready. This caused discussion across social media and Sons of the Forest started to trend on Twitter. Everyone wanted to know why the delay. The trending across social media only further built up the hype and introduced the game to more players wanting to check it out. Then when the download was finally ready all the eager gamers rushed to Steam and very much would explain the crashing of the store page.
But after all the hiccups this game faced at launch it still managed to have a very successful release. In the tweet from the developers at Endnight Games proudly and deservingly boasts about sales. Over 2 million copies in the first 24 hours! A tremendous achievement considering the delay and store page crashes. We can’t wait to check out this game in the future and other games to come from Endnight. All Sons of the Forest updates and other gaming news can be found here. Enjoy your gaming and thanks for reading!
