Electronic Arts and developer Respawn Entertainment have announced that Star War Jedi: Survivor will be delayed. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will no longer release on March 17, but on April 28. The developer says the game is almost ready, but the extra time is needed to improve the quality.

The developer has been working on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for about three years, it will be a sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order, which was released in 2019. The new game will again star Cal Kestis and, according to EA, will have more extensive combat, bigger destinations to explore, and better ways to move around those destinations. For example, in an earlier trailer, Respawn showed how Kestis could ride animals. In addition, Kestis seems to get a blaster, he has extra Force powers and he can do more with his lightsabers.
Respawn says it is now working on the final part of the game’s development, which is fixing bugs to make the game smoother, more stable, and better to play. To ensure that the game meets Respawns quality requirements, the developer says it needs six extra weeks. That’s why the game will now be released worldwide on April 28. In early December, EA gave another release date of March 17.
