Xbox and Bethesda Developer Direct 2023 Overview

Viewers were given a taste of many eagerly awaited games during today’s Xbox & Bethesda Developer Direct. It featured five games that are currently in development and that will be released in the coming year. In this overview we will give you all the details from Xbox and Bethesda Developer Direct 2023.

Minecraft Legends

With the help of both new and returning Minecraft creatures, you can form alliances in Minecraft Legends. Teamwork is essential for success. Share your troops and resources with the rest of the squad in the cross-play multiplayer experience. The map is procedurally generated, making each time you play a unique experience, just as in the original Minecraft game. PvE elements will be there to attack both teams, so you can’t solely concentrate on the opposing team.

The main focus of the Developer Direct presentation was on the PvP multiplayer aspect of Minecraft Legends, which allows two teams of up to four players to battle with each other. In Minecraft Legends, players build bases to guard various structures while gathering materials to make siege weaponry. This gameplay is similar to that of many other tower defense games. In the most recent Direct trailer, PvPvE aspects are also highlighted as players have to go up against armies of Piglins to train for their combat with real opponents.

Minecraft Legends launches April 18, 2023 on PC, Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and Nintentdo Switch!

Forza Motorsport

Over 500 customisable cars, dynamic weather, more advanced driving and improved damage models for cars. Creative director Chris Esaki led viewers through various departments. Racing fans can expect a genuinely next-generation experience. A variety of new circuits are included, including the series’ first South African circuit, Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit.

The presentation mostly highlighted how close to the real thing this racing sim will be. The physics system, according to the team, is more accurate than ever, with damage and dirt accumulating on each car in different ways depending on how you drive it. Naturally, it will appear better than ever thanks to new materials, shaders, and car paints that have been measured with a spectrophotometer to ensure accurate light reflections.

You can add over 800 different customizations to make each car your own. The team also stated that game will have ray tracing in 4K and 60 fps. The game’s scheduled 2023 release date was the only thing that was missing from the announcement.

Hi-Fi Rush

Hi-Fi Rush is a rhythm-based action game where players attacks enhance the musical layers. The more you move to the beat, the higher your performance skills will be. As you play, everything synchronizes with the music. The game is unlike anything Tango has ever produced, and Mikami said he was eager to attempt something different for the team’s upcoming game. Some of the studio’s previous games include The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo.

“As wannabe rockstar Chai, you’ll fight back against a sinister robotics enhancement conglomerate using rhythm-amplified combat where everything–from the motion in the environment to the blows of combat–is synced to the music,” as been said in the showcase.

Hi-Fi Rush is now available for PC and Xbox Series X/S (and available on Game Pass). So anyone interested in playing it doesn’t have to wait to get threir hands on this one!

Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom

For fans of Elder Scrolls Online, a new expansion is coming their way, called Necrom. The next chapter of The MMORPG from Zenimax Online Studios moves away from the High Isle and takes us to a region familiar to fans of Bethesda’s series: Morrowind. This new chapter will be released on June 5, 2023.

Necrom will feature thirty hours of new story content, in which players will be able to visit two zones in the eastern region of Morrowind. A setting that hasn’t seen in an Elder Scrolls game since 1994, according to studio head Matt Firor. Hermaeus Mora, the Daedric Prince last seen in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s Dragonborn DLC, will be encountered by players in Necrom.

It also introduces a new class to the game: the Arcanist. It enables players to channel a variety of magic, including defensive, restorative, and destructive magic.. Along with the release of this new chapter, Firor announced that for a limited period of time all players will have free access to every chapter and all 20 DLC packs for The Elder Scrolls Online.

Redfall

The Xbox and Bethesda Developer Direct 2023 concluded with new gameplay of Redfall.  The cooperative shooter contains several character classes with distinct powers to face hordes of vampires. The showcase includes different vampire types, including Shrouds, which traps the player in darkness. And all-powerful Rooks, which are called forth by the “Vampire Gods.” When players kill vampires, the Vampire Gods become enraged and send out a new type of vampire to hunt them down.

The weaponry that players can find and wield in Redfall, include both conventional military-style firearms and fantastical weapons. According to the developers, Redfall is the “largest, most ambitious” game the studio has ever produced.

The launch date for Redfall is May 2, 2023, which leaked already. It will be available on PC and Xbox Series X/S (included on Game Pass)
