Introduction
The Dragonknight is one of the 4 first classes introduced in The Elder Scrolls Online. This class is very strong and comes with a ton of utility putting it in a unique position where it can be very powerful. The Magicka Dragonknight is no exception to this. The Dragonknight has some of the highest DPS damage in the game while maintaining resources and staying alive. Many players would argue that this class is one of the strongest in ESO especially this patch. So without further ado, here is our ESO Magicka Dragonknight DPS Build for PVE.
Overview
Race: Khajiit (best choice) or Dark elf/Dunmer and High Elf (also are great choices)
Food: Max Magicka Food
Mundus Stone: The Shadow (increase critical damage) or The Thief (increase critical chance)
Consumables: Essence of Spell Power, Essence of Heroism
Attributes: 64 Magicka, 0 Health, 0 Stamina
Gear
The best in slot options for this build would be considered “meta” and it is advised to try and stay to the best option as best as possible. However the 2nd and 3rd options are great alternatives to wear while you farm for best in slot gear.

- Front bar weapons in Nirnhoned and Charged
- Back Bar weapons in Infused

Front Bar
Front Bar: Molten Whip, Degeneration, Burning Talons, Barbed Trap, Deadly Cloak, Flawless Dawnbreaker
Back Bar
Back Bar: Stampede, Eruption, Flames of Oblivion, Venomous Claw, Carve, Standard of Might
Single Target Rotation
Buff Rotation: This build does not really have skills to prebuff so drink your potion and get ready to place your DOTs and begin.
Damage Rotation: Begin the damage rotation on the front bar to get Deadly Cloak started. Swap bars and begin placing DOTS with Eruption, Flames of Oblivion, Venomous Claw, Carve, and Stampede. Swap back to the front bar and continue with Degeneration into Barbed Trap, and Burning Talons. Molten Whip is our spammable in between keeping buffs and DOTs up. Use Standard of Might whenever it becomes available.
Skills/AOE and Trash
Note: Swap the backbar 2h Greatsword for a Fire Staff for AOE and Trash pulls
Front Bar
Front Bar: Deep Breath, Whirling Blades, Engulfing Flames, Burning Talons, Inner Light, Flawless Dawnbreaker
Back Bar: Elemental Blockade, Anti-Cavalry Caltrops, Proximity Detonation, Flames of Oblivion, Molten Whip, Elemental Rage
AOE/Trash Rotation
Buff Rotation: This build does not really have skills to prebuff so drink your potion and get ready to place your DOTs and begin.
Damage Rotation: Begin on the backbar and cast Proximity Detonation. Then cast Flames of Oblivion and begin placing your DOTs. Put down Caltrops and Elemental Blockade before swapping to the front bar. On the front bar start with Deep Breath and Engulfing Flames. Cast Burning Talons and then spam Whirling Blades in between your cast timers. Elemental Rage is your damage ultimate and cast whenever available.
Champion Points
Because everyone who is viewing this guide is at a different Champion Point level I will only be putting up the champion points I chose at the level I was at the time of making this guide, which is around 1075. Remember that Champion Point soft cap is around 1800 but you can easily achieve high value kills with low cp.
