Introduction
The Sorcerer is one of the four original classes in The Elder Scrolls Online. It’s a class with lots of utility, which makes it uniquely powerful. The Magicka Sorcerer is no exception. It does some of the highest DPS damage in the game and can stay alive and keep its resources up. Lots of players say it’s one of the strongest classes in ESO, especially with this patch. Here’s our ESO Magicka Sorcerer DPS Build for PvE.
Overview
Race: Khajiit (best choice) or Dark elf/Dunmer and High Elf (also are great choices)
Food: Ghastly Eye Bow (max magicka and magicka recovery)
Mundus Stone: The Shadow (increase critical damage) or The Thief (increase critical chance)
Consumables: Essence of Spell Power, Essence of Heroism
Attributes: 64 Magicka, 0 Health, 0 Stamina
Gear
The best in slot options for this build would be considered “meta” and it is advised to try and stay to the best option as best as possible. However the 2nd and 3rd options are great alternatives to wear while you farm for best in slot gear.

Front Bar: Crystal Fragments, Daedric Prey, Bound Armaments, Summon Volatile Familiar, Summon Twilight Tormentor, Greater Storm Atronach
Back Bar
Back Bar: Stampede, Barbed Trap, Carve, Summon Volatile Familiar, Summon Twilight Tormentor, Power Overload
Single Target Rotation
Buff Rotation: There are no buff skills for this build just make sure your pets are summoned and drink a potion to begin the fight.
Damage Rotation: Start by placing Barbed Trap then cast Stampede into Carve. Cast Summon Volatile Familiar and swap to the front bar. Place Daedric Prey on the target and cast Crystal Fragments whenever it procs the instant cast.
Skills/AOE and Trash
Note: Swap the backbar 2h Greatsword for a Maelstrom’s Lightening Staff and slot a lightening staff in the front bar for AOE and Trash pulls
Front Bar
Front Bar: Pulsar, Mages’ Wrath, Camouflaged Hunter, Summon Volatile Familiar, Inner Light, Flawless Dawnbreaker
Back Bar: Elemental Blockade, Lightning Flood, Boundless Storm, Summon Volatile Familiar, Proximity Detonation, Elemental Rage
AOE/Trash Rotation
Buff Rotation: There are no buff skills for this build just make sure your pets are summoned and drink a potion to begin the fight.
Damage Rotation: Start on the backbar and cast Boundless Storm first. Place Elemental Blockade and Lightning Flood. Cast Summon Volatile Familiar and Proximity Detonation before swapping to the front bar. On the front bar spam Pulsar and Mages Wrath. Elemental Rage is the main damage ultimate, cast it whenever available.
Champion Points
Because everyone who is viewing this guide is at a different Champion Point level I will only be putting up the champion points I chose at the level I was at the time of making this guide, which is around 1075. Remember that Champion Point soft cap is around 1800 but you can easily achieve high value kills with low cp.
