Palworld is finally out and you may find yourself in the beginning of the tutorial wondering how do I make a Pal Sphere and where on Earth do I obtain Paldium Fragments? Here is our guide on how to obtain Paldium Fragments and what they can be used for.
How to Obtain Paldium Fragments
Paldium Fragments are used to craft a whole bunch of things in Palworld. But the more important one is Pal Spheres, used to capture Pals. The tutorial in the beginning has you obtain Paldium Fragments in order to craft Pal Spheres, but it does not tell you where or how to obtain them. To obtain Paldium Fragments you need to mine these light blue mining nodes scattered throughout the land. The best tool to use to mine the most would be a pickaxe, but any tool works. There is also a small chance to obtain Paldium Fragments from mining normal rocks for stone.
You can also obtain 5 Paldium Fragments from the NPC ‘Skilled Islander’ just north-west of the spawn location for single player if you follow the road (coordinates 158,-465 see image below)

What Paldium Fragments Can Make
Paldium Fragments are used to craft a whole lot of things in the game. Here is our current list of items you can craft with Paldium Fragments:
- Pal Sphere: Used to capture Pals when thrown
- Palbox: Facility for storing captured pals and is used to mark your base
- Common Shield: A shield that can repair itself
