This was said on the Xbox website: “As we announced previously, in order to dedicate the proper amount of time for a deep dive into Bethesda Game Studios’ Starfield, a standalone show is in the works. In addition to this, our teams are working hard and look forward to sharing even more of what is next for our fans when we return to Los Angeles for our yearly Showcase this summer.”
Microsoft is the first of the three major console manufacturers to confirm that it will hold a presentation around the summer focusing on upcoming games. Microsoft confirms it will broadcast its annual Xbox Showcase this summer from Los Angeles, but the company does not specifically mention if it will be part of E3. It has been confirmed that the game expo in Los Angeles will be held in-person again this year for the first time in years – namely from June 13 to 16.
However, Geoff Keighley is also hosting Summer Game Fest again, the first live show of which will be held on June 8, so it remains to be seen what exactly the Xbox Showcase will fall under.
