What is Palworld
Palworld is an open-world survival game but with a slight twist. You collect Pals similar to Pokémon. With a lot of publications calling the game “Pokémon with Guns”. There is a lot going on in this game. There is a multiplayer option with servers up to 32 players so you can explore with your friends. The game offers a unique crafting system for building homes and bases. There is also Dungeons and Bosses scattered throughout the very large open world. The world is filled with many different beautiful biomes and sceneries from lush greenery, to snowy mountains, and deserts. All there for the player to explore by themselves or with friends and their captures Pals. This early access game offers a lot and so far has had a very successful launch and the developers promise they are only just getting started.
Successful Early Access Launch
Palworld launched today January 19th 2024 and so far has been a huge success. With the game celebrating on X/Twitter for getting 1,000,000 players in just 8 hours after launch. The game then celebrated on steam by offering a 10% discount and was being sold at only $26.99 on the steam store. Palworld also launched on Xbox Game Pass included with a subscription to Game Pass or for sale for $29.99. Be aware it has been reported you can only play multiplayer with your friends on steam on PC.
What’s Coming Next for the Game
Palworld just launched early access and already has a lot to offer. With that being said there is still a lot to come and things that need to be worked on or improved upon. One big feature that’s currently not in the game at this time but has been said is coming is PvP or Player vs Player. Right now you can play with your friends and fight along side them but there is currently no way to fight another player. PvP is an aspect included in most survival games and usually offer servers with or without PvP options. With that being said, it is supposed to be coming to the game soon.
Another few features coming to Palworld is the ability to trade Pals with other players and updates to the building system. There is more that needs to come to polish up the game as well as bug fixes we assume will be worked out over time but for now as an early access game it is pretty fun and all the new content to come is encouraging.
